DVAM 2024

National Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2024

October was National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and the PONW team was actively in the field bringing awareness, honoring survivors, celebrating victories, and uplifting voices.

The theme for DVAM this year is “Heal, Hold, Center” and all across the islands our team participated in sign waving, marching, resource fairs, and lei vigils.  Every voice matters, every story should be heard, and every survivor should be honored. With the communityʻs kokua, we can uplift each and every voice and end violence against kanaka ʻōiwi, wāhine, kāne, keiki, māhū and our communities as a whole.
